Here are some of the articles and some of the documentation related to our press release/analysis of the North Country Public Radio (WSLU-FM 88.5) journalistic hit-job by reporter Jonathan Brown and editor Martha Foley in its June 2, 2009 pseudo-story about the Potsdam Health Care Zone, Local Law 4 of 2009 and Potsdam Smart Growth organizer Richard Brummel. |
Photos of the 45-minute Saturday interview with Jonathan Brown, who appeared to be interrupting his kayaking to do the job. He was very brusque, changed our plans and refused to sit a few minutes in McDonald's to go over the fact situation and get acquainted, saying he only had 30 minutes or so to get my ideas about the impact on the Waverly Street area and other questions about the proposed health care zone. Nevertheless he said the story would run three days hence, on Tuesday May 26th.
Records of our June 2, 2009 early submission to the NPR ombudsman regarding their affiliate's story on the Potsdam Health Care Zone -- of which they had a full and accurate story but chose to suppress it and substitute pabulum and a hit-job on a local activist and environmental organizer -- and upon the public interest.
